Jeri Marie Cook

Jeri Marie Cook (nee Bain), of O'Fallon, MO, passed away Friday, September 18, 2026, at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Harry Cook; daughter of the late Everett and Etta (nee Hensley) Bain, adopted daughter of the late John and Ruth (nee Watt) Corneilson; devoted mother of Elsbeth “Beth” Lokey and Chris (Jennifer) Cook; loving grandmother of Julia Cook and Matthew Cook.

Jeri and Harry shared a loving marriage for more than 50 years, building a life filled with family, adventure, and many cherished memories. Together, they enjoyed taking on business ventures, traveling, and most of all, spending precious time with their grandchildren, who brought them great joy. Jeri was a talented and accomplished seamstress who ran an in-home fabric shop, where she not only sold fabric and notions to the local rural community, she also created beautiful garments. She was an ambitious and dedicated real estate agent and manager during the 1980s, where her determination and warm personality served her well. She was an ace at remembering people’s names and freely passed out compliments to strangers. She never met a dog she didn’t like. Jeri lived a full and meaningful life, touching the hearts of many through her talents, kindness, and love for her family. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
