Vortmeier, Jean Alita (nee Thies) of Florissant, Missouri, departed this life on July 9, 2022, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Fred Vortmeier. Loving daughter of the late Alfred and Marie Thies. Devoted mother of Kendall (Nancy) Vortmeier, the late ZoeAnn (Scott) Maass, John (JoEtta) Vortmeier. Dearest Oma of Nathan (Amanda) Vortmeier, Brittany (Tim) Cummins, Elizabeth (Brent) Wessel, Jerett Maass, and Jack Vortmeier. Loving sister of the late Bill (Bette) Thies, Mary Beth (Bob) Stith, Arleen (Bill) Wootten. Jean was a loving aunt, cousin and friend to many.
The family will receive friends and family at the church on Saturday, July 30th at 10:00 am. Service to follow at 11:00 am at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 126 Church Street, Ferguson, MO 63135.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Alzheimer's Association are appreciated.
