Jean Patricia Gallinal, 88, peacefully passed away in Jerseyville, Illinois, Saturday, January 19, 2019.
Jean was born on March 3, 1930, in St. Louis, MO. She graduated from Roosevelt High School, Saint Louis, MO., with a love of reading and a profound compassion for animals which continued throughout her lifetime. She was entrusted early in life as a single parent and sole provider to four children. She loved gardening, as well as, watching soap operas, TV documentaries, and other wildlife films with her family and friends in her retirement home in Jerseyville, IL. She was known for her quick wit, her infectious laugh, and her compassionate spirit.
Jean is survived by her children, Gabriel M. Gallinal, and Rachelle L. Williamson; son in law, Robert D. Williamson Jr.; daughter in law, Stacie R. Gallinal, (2) grandchildren; Cody and Marcus - whom brought her great joy and happiness throughout her life. She was predeceased by her parents Benjamin and Lucille C. Rue, grandson Gabriel A. Gallinal, daughter Judith J. Widmar, son Louis K. Widmar, sister Eileen Uljee, and brother Ronald Rue.
Memorials may be made in Jean’s honor to Dementia Society of America.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 25, 2019 from 4pm - 8pm at Baue Funeral Homes Memorial Center, 3950 W Clay St, St Charles, MO 63301 636-940-1000. A second visitation will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019, from 10:00am - 11:00 am, with memorial service to follow at Crossroads Community Church, 305 N Maple St, Brighton, IL 62012. Graveside service at 2:00pm, St. Marcus Cemetery, 7901 Gravois Road, St. Louis, MO 63123.
