McKinley, Jay, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Friday, December 12, 2014 at the age of 80. Loving husband of the late Ruth McKinley (nee: Ramsey); beloved son of the late Walter and Ina McKinley; devoted father of James McKinley, Linda Strauss, Mary and Dean Krogmeier, and Ruth and Phillip Raymo; cherished grandfather of the late Kimberly, Caryn, Chris, Jennifer, Bryan, Stephen, Brynden, and Emily; treasured great-grandfather of Nicholas, Jessica, the late Zachery, Morgan, Noah, Logan, Lillian, Brayden, and McKinley. He is preceded in death by his son-in-law James Strauss.
Jay was a long standing member of the Church of the Shepherd, and worked for many years at McDonnell Douglas. Jay cherished the time with his family and his prize possession, his '36 Ford.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Church of the Shepherd-Missions.
