Jason Michael Griffin

Jason Michael Griffin, of Belleville, Illinois, passed away Monday, August 31, 2026, at the age of 48. Beloved husband of Kimberly Schuhardt; cherished son of Catherine and the late Ken Griffin; devoted father of Austin Michael Griffin, and Taylor Jo Griffin, and stepfather of Timothy Maxwell Schuhardt, and Clara Elizabeth Schuhardt; dear brother of the late Kenneth Wade Griffin, and the late Sarah Paige Pierce; precious uncle of 5 nieces, and 1 nephew, great-uncle of 4 great-nieces, and 4 great-nephews, and cousin of 4.

Jason loved spending time at the lake. It was his happy place. He enjoyed any activity on the water, especially boating and fishing. He also enjoyed watching sports, “piddling” in the garage, and cooking. Jason was a kind, humble, hard-working, and generous man, who always put others’ needs first. His greatest joy in life was his family. Jason was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Jason's name to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Association in honor of his wife and mother.
