Janolah Jane Helfrich

Janolah “Jody” Jane Helfrich (nee Osborn) passed away on July 16, 2025, at the age of 78. She was the widow of Charles (Rich) Richard Helfrich Sr. They were married 57 years before his passing. Jody was the mother of Charles “Chuck” (Amy) Richard Helfrich Jr and Tami Helfrich. She was the grandmother of Ashley (Zach) Speckhals. She was an aunt and friend to many!

Jody grew up in St. Louis area. After marrying, most of her adult life was in Florissant, MO. She ran her husband’s work office for Certified Exterminators and later, was a blackjack dealer.

She loved going to the movies, spending time with friends, and playing games like Uno and Monopoly. She loved to crochet afghans, play video games, and do counted cross stitch.

Some of her favorite memories were making cookie trays at Christmas, parties at her home in Florissant with pool out back, going boating, camping with their travel trailer, and playing games around the kitchen table. She loved to laugh!

Jody grew up attending whatever church was on the corner. She became Catholic to get married but didn’t attend church most of her life. She joined North County Community Church in 2004 and attended though 2010 when her health declined. She attended Harvester Christian Church in her later years.
