Janis Lynn Ellersieck

Janis Lynn Ellersieck (nee McCullough), of Troy, MO, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at the age of 72. Beloved wife of Thomas F. Ellersieck; cherished daughter of the late Daryl D. and Iris N. McCullough; devoted mother of Katherine L. (Sean) Gebert, Cynthia L. Meder, and Caroline L. (Ryan) Lovell; loving grandmother of Michael (Jessica), Alex, Alyssa, Raegan, Jimmy, Kennedy, Addison, Nicholas, Trinity, Rylee, and Thomas; precious great grandmother of Zayne, Eli, and Kendall; dear sister of Joyce (Jim) Anderson, her brother, the late Dennis (surviving Donna) McCullough, and son-in-law, the late Brandon Beckman; beloved niece, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend to many, and a teacher to all.

Janis retired after 32 dedicated years of teaching for the Fort Zumwalt School District. She loved reading and playing bridge with her friends. Janis also enjoyed traveling, having visited all 50 states. She was a sports enthusiast, and she never missed a game. Some of her favorite teams include the Cardinals, Mizzou Tigers, Zumwalt Panthers, and the Winfield Warriors. Janis was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Janis's name to a charity of the donor's choice.
