Janice Robertson

Janice Jean Robertson (nee Sweet), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Friday, January 2, 2026, at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late James "Jay" Lester Robertson; cherished daughter of the late Roy and Melba Sweet; devoted mother of Robyn (Craig) Hutchins, Dawn (Doug) Dunker, and Darren Robertson; loving grandmother of Alex Dunker, Allison Dunker, Michelle Hofmann, Dustin (Marilyn) Hofmann, Colin (Jess) Hutchins, Valerie Hutchins, Brianna Hutchins, and William Hutchins; treasured great-grandmother of Alyssa, Marz, Madison, Dustin , Jr., Beatrice, Rooney, Lucas, and Logan; dear sister-in-law of Richard (Marilyn) Robertson. Janice is preceded in death by her brother, Norman (the late Edna) Sweet.

Janice was a devout woman of faith who was deeply active in her church and lived her life with purpose and devotion. She loved to travel and especially cherished the timeless charm of covered bridges, finding beauty and inspiration wherever she went. Creative and talented, Janice took great pride in decorating her home and making it warm and welcoming, and she ran an upholstery business from her home with a special emphasis on antique lampshades, each piece reflecting her careful attention to detail and perfectionist nature. She also enjoyed soccer and took delight in the simple joys of the game. She was adventurous enough to take up bowling, with Jay, later in life. Above all, Janice was very family-oriented and treasured time spent together with those she loved. Dearly loved, Janice will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
