Janet Lee Wetzel

Janet Lee Wetzel (nee Fischer), of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022 at the age of 81. Loving wife of the late Richard R. Wetzel; beloved daughter of the late Oliver and Margaret Fischer; devoted mother of Stacey Ann McClard and Michael E. (Linda) Wetzel; cherished grandmother of Megan Lynn Wetzel and great-grandmother of Joey Wetzel; dear sister of Oliver Fischer, Gerald (Maxine) Fischer, Mary Lou Awalt; treasured God Mother of Joshua Schierding; and is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Janet is also preceded in death by her siblings, Marvin, Harold, Leroy, George, Robert, Shirley, Lois, Margie, and Russell Fischer.

Janet grew up in Welston, Missouri. She was youngest of 13 siblings. Janet liked to spend time gardening. She enjoyed going to the Fox to see many shows. She loved music, traveling and she liked to read. Janet loved her dogs and spending time with her family. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
