Janet Clark

Janet Clark, 67, passed away on August 22, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply. Janet was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness and love touched countless lives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Geraldine Moss, and her beloved granddaughter, Emili. Janet is survived by her husband, Kevin Clark; her children, Dibi Lay (Tim), Eric Estelle, Daren Estelle (Jamie), Melissa Clark (Matt Caygill), and Justin Clark (Jennifer); and her grandchildren, Kori, Carter, Ethan, Adam, Mia, and Maddox, as well as many other beloved family members and friends.

Janet began her working life out of high school, where she worked for McDonnell Douglas/Boeing for several years. She then stepped away from her career to dedicate herself to raising her family, a role she cherished deeply. Later, Janet began a second chapter in her working life as a school bus driver, a job she held for more than 15 years. It was a career that was especially fitting for Janet, because she truly loved children and had an extraordinary gift for making them feel cared for and loved. Even after more than 15 years behind the wheel of a school bus, Janet wasn’t finished caring for children. She and Kevin continued to open their home to children and babysit until the time of her passing. Over the years, she helped “raise” many children who came to know her as “MawMaw,” because Janet loved them with the same warmth and devotion she gave her own family. That was simply who Janet was. She loved people wholeheartedly. She was kind, sweet, caring, and incredibly thoughtful. Anyone who knew Janet knew that she somehow seemed to know everything about everyone—and she cared about every detail. She worried because she loved, and her children remained forever on her mind, even after they had grown into adults.

Janet also had a generous heart and a love for giving. She was known for buying presents for everyone she loved, always finding another reason to give a gift—and perhaps enjoying the shopping just as much. Her generosity was one of the many ways she showed people how much they meant to her. Outside of caring for others, Janet enjoyed fishing with Kevin and family, trips to the casino, and most of all, spending time with her family. She cherished the people around her and created a home where children, grandchildren, family, and friends always knew they were loved. Janet leaves behind a legacy that is measured not only by her own family, but by the many children and people she welcomed into her heart. To those who called her Mom, Gran, or MawMaw, she was a source of comfort, love, and unconditional care. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Janet’s greatest gift was the love she gave so freely—and that love will live on in every person she helped, cared for, worried about, laughed with, and loved.
