Jane E. West

Jane E. West (nee Gordy), of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Friday, May 29, 2026, at the age of 76. Beloved wife of Donald W. West; cherished daughter of the late Helen and Harold Gordy; devoted mother of Stacey (Matthew) Chapman, and Jeffrey (Amber Bishop) West; loving grandmother of Jacob (Kirsten) Chapman; dear sister of Richard Gordy, Thomas (Roland Galindo) Gordy, and the late Susan Gordy-Epstein, and sister-in-law of David Epstein.

Jane loved decorating, had a special passion for flowers, and was an excellent cook. Her beloved four-legged companions held a special place in her heart. Jane had a remarkable gift for connecting with others- she never met a stranger and always remembered the people she encountered. Her warm, social nature and attention to the little details made everyone feel valued and appreciated. She genuinely cared about others and delighted in sharing their favorite treats and making them feel at home. Jane was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Jane's name to the St. Charles County Humane Society.
