Jane Van Dillen (nee Hays), of St. Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026 at the age of 77. Loving wife of the late Richard Van Dillen; beloved daughter of the late Ernest and Florine Hays; devoted mother of Richard (Rachel) Van Dillen, Aaron (Lily) Van Dillen, Alisha (Brian) Geerling, Michael (Emma) Van Dillen, and Matthew (Danielle) Van Dillen; cherished grandmother of Ella, Rhett, Van, Max, Layla, Margot, Logan, Barrett, Asher, and Sawyer. Preceded in death by her son, Jason (Katrina) Van Dillen.
Jane was a faithful Catholic whose strong will and driven spirit carried her through a life full of adventure and joy. In her younger years, she was a pilot and even embraced the thrill of skydiving, reflecting her fearless and adventurous nature. She found great happiness in spending time outdoors, whether biking, taking long walks, tending to her beautiful flower gardens, or enjoying a day on the golf course.
Jane had a deep love for travel and for the simple pleasures in life, including her beloved dogs. She was a fun-loving, caring, kind, and sweet soul who brought warmth to everyone around her.
Above all, Jane cherished her family. She was the proud grandmother of ten, and her grandchildren were truly the light of her life. She adored each of them and treasured every moment spent together.
Jane shared over 40 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Richard, building a life grounded in love and devotion.
Jane was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Jane's name to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or Blood Cancer United (formerly Leukemia Lymphoma Society).
