Jane Rose Gordon

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Gordon, Jane R., died Sunday afternoon, August 10, 2008 at St. Joseph Hospital, St. Charles. She had been battling cancer for the last 17 years and had been in poor health since April. She was born on March 20, 1934 to the late Russell & Delores Gibson in Sparta, Illinois. She worked as a licensed real estate broker, was the Vice President and Treasurer of Home Finders Realty and as an insurance agent at various insurance companies. She married Byron R. Gordon, on January 22, 1953, in San Francisco, CA and he survives. She graduated from Sparta Township High School in 1951. She was an active and a longtime member of the St. Charles Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, vacationing and spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Surviving with her husband of 55 years are two daughters, Debra J. Bowman (husband: Steven) of Rossville, IN, Martha F. Henslee of St. Charles, MO and one son, Steven B. Gordon (Companion: Denise Sanford and daughters Lauren and Hope) of Rolla, MO; two grandchildren, Bradley C. Henslee and Kaitlyn R. Henslee of St. Charles, MO and sister Diana Braun (husband Francis) and two nieces, Sara Shillinger, Jeri Braun, two nephews, Jeff Shillinger and Rusty Braun.
