Jane Ann Klinghammer

Jane Stuckemeyer Klinghammer, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at her home. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all, Jane brought joy and love to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Mary Klinghammer; son, Michael (Dana) Klinghammer; daughter-in-law Melinda Beaman Klinghammer; grandchildren Jacob Klinghammer, Shelby (Benjamin) Lassanske, Samantha (Robert) Smith, Benjamin Klinghammer; great granddaughters Nora Lassanske, Louise Lassanske, and Winnie Smith; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Klinghammer; sons Thomas Klinghammer and Andrew Klinghammer; parents, Christopher and Margaret Stuckemeyer; and twin brother, John (Margaret) Stuckemeyer.

Born June 22, 1938, in St. Louis, MO, Jane graduated from Normandy High School in 1956 and then attended Fontbonne College. While attending a summer course at Washington University, she met Jack Klinghammer, who would become her husband of 60 years. The two built their home in Saint Charles, MO, where they raised their four children and attended weekly mass at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

Jane was a woman of generous spirit and unwavering optimism. Playfully mischievous, she read children’s stories with a unique voice for each character, sang loud and clear for every “Happy Birthday To You,” and snuck extra bites of dessert with a wink and a smile. With Jack by her side, she was a bright presence at her childrens’ sporting events and music recitals, family vacations and celebratory dinners. Jane believed the best in people. That, in turn, made them believe the best in themselves.

A funeral service will be held on January 11, 2025, at Baue Funeral Home at 620 Jefferson Street in Saint Charles.

Memorials may be made in Jane’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
