Jan Donald Holt

Holt, Jan Donald, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Friday, February 22, 2013 at the age of 76. Loving husband of Genevieve Arnold Luetkenhaus; beloved son of the late Chester Rue and Ima Lee Holt; devoted father of Lynn (Steve) Hollander and Jennifer (Jeff) Holian; cherished stepfather of Susan Luetkenhaus, Russell (Gail) Luetkenhaus, Gary (Peggy) Luetkenhaus, Julie (Mike) Boschert, Brenda (Rich) Farmer, James (Barb) Luetkenhaus, Jeffrey (Tammy Herter) Luetkenhaus; treasured grandfather of Samuel Lee Holian; loving step-grandfather of 25; cherished step-great-grandfather of 5; dear uncle of Linda Jo Nell (Rick) Trettin. He is preceded in death by his daughter Margaret Lee Holt and his sister Brooxie Nell Smith. Jan received his BSME Degree from the University of New Mexico in 1959. He was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity and ASME Engineering Society, employed by ACF Industries in Albuquerque, New Mexico, then transferred to St. Louis in 1967, and worked there until he retired. He was an artist and wood craftsman, and dearly loved by his family and friends. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of Mt. Carmel and Heartland Hospice.
