Jamie Lynn Cargal

Jamie Cargal was taken from us far too soon. Jamie was the beloved daughter of Diana Cargal; irreplaceable sister of Robert & Kristin Cargal, Matt Cargal & Melissa McMichael, Nicole Cargal, Zach Cargal, and Kimberly Cargal; cheerleader of her nieces and nephews Drew, Brylee, Scarlett, Zoey, Noah, Mason, and Dominic. Also cherished by loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and coworkers who filled her life with joy.

Jamie was a teacher in the Pattonville School District at Willowbrook Elementary. Teaching was not just her profession; it was her passion. A true educator at heart, she combined fun with hard work to inspire generations of students. All she wanted was to make our world better and wanted none of the credit or praise when she did it.

Outside the classroom she enjoyed spending time with her family via games, cooking, bonfires, listening to music, dancing, and traveling. She loved attending Cardinal games, concerts, and musicals at The Muny & Fox Theatre. She was an avid sports fan, often found on Sunday in front of the TV watching football.

Her favorite time of the year was Christmas. She was always singing carols, baking cookies, creating award winning lighting displays, enjoying Christmas movies, watching presents being opened, and spending time with loved ones.

Jamie will be remembered for her love of family, her passion for the things that made her happy, her willingness to support others, and the special place she held in the lives of so many people.
