James Murphy

James Thomas Murphy, of Saint Louis, MO, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Bernice Murphy; cherished son of the late James and Ellen Murphy; devoted father of Jim (Pauline) Murphy, Susan (John Lyerla) Davis and Paula (Mike) Pope; loving grandfather of Lee, Erik, Brian, Molly, Kelly, Joseph, Tim, Cindy, Mallory, Paige, Sean and the late Rachel,; treasured great-grandfather of Rowan, Fiona, Cameron, Bentley, Colton, Wyatt; dear brother of Margaret (William) Greenwood.

James proudly and honorably served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the American Legion and the St. Louis Gateway Buick Club. James was a passenger service agent for TWA/American Airlines for over 40 years. As a young man, he enjoyed fishing and working on cars. James was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
