James Charles Leifeld

James Charles Leifeld, of O'Fallon, MO, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022 at the age of 84. Loving husband of Judith A. Leifeld; beloved son of the late Herman and Helen Leifeld; devoted father of Sandy (Joseph) Greco, Richard Leifeld, and Karen Beckley; cherished grandfather of Elise (Jeffrey), Matt (Ali), Tyler, Jake, Anthony, and Seth; treasured great-grandfather of Grace, Ada; dear brother of Dorothy Deposki. Preceded in death by his sister, Betty (Russ) Butler.

James proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked at McDonnell Douglas for his entire career retiring after 30+ years. He then became a member of the St. Charles Wood Carving Association and won many awards. He designed and built homes, boats, TVs, and loved to create or fix anything. His passion was working with his hands. He enjoyed being outdoors all the time and loved to hunt, fish, and boat. He was devoted to his family, faith, and keeping peace. James was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in James' name to the Siteman Cancer Center.
