James J. Gutierrez

Gutierrez, James J., of Hazelwood, MO, died on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at the age of 99. Loving husband of the late Bettie Gutierrez; beloved son of the late Antonio Fernendez and Genevieve Ferrer; devoted father of Yolanda Ochoa; cherished grandfather of eight; treasured great-grandfather of thirteen; dearest great-great grandfather of one; he was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Renee Gutierrez.

James proudly served his country as a sergeant in the United States during World War II and was a Purple Heart recipient. He loved to go fishing and salsa dancing. James was adventurous and loved traveling around the world. He most recently visited the beautiful country of Brazil. James was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
