James Leon Hoffman age 79 of St. Charles, MO, passed away on June 3, 2026.

Jim was born on March 25,1947 in Perryville, MO, to Glennon and Beulah (nee Sandler).

Jim proudly served his country during the Vietnam Era in the United States Air Force. He was a grateful American and served from 1965 to 1968. Jim married Deborah J. Wibbenmeyer on June 24, 1967. They have 5 children: Stephanie (Jeff), Jennifer, Michelle (Ryan), Michael (Sheila), and Matthew (Angela). Jim and Debbie have 17 grandchildren: Lauren (Trevor), Stephen (Kathleen), Adam (fiancé Brooke), Christopher (Allison), Anna, Jacob, James, Emily (Colin), Natalie (Joshua), Allison, Michael (Alexis), Joseph, Daniel, Timothy, Savannah, Gabriella, and Charlotte. They have 4 great-grandchildren: Ava, Colton, Wyatt, and Jodie. Jim is also survived by his siblings: Jack (Anna), Larry (Linda), Joe (Janice), and Debbie (Dave).

Jim dedicated 36 years of service to UPS, a career he took great pride in. Above all, he was proud of his children and grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with his family. Jim enjoyed gathering with his siblings and could often be found in his workshop, where he spent many happy hours pursuing projects he loved. He will be remembered for his devotion to family, his strong work ethic, and the joy he found in the simple pleasures of life.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother John.
