James Hockmeyer, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the age of 88. Loving husband of the late Mildred Virginia Hockmeyer; dear son of the late William Oliver Hockmeyer and Mary Kathryne Hockmeyer; devoted father of Linda Chattin; cherished grandfather of Deonna (Tony) Meurer, Donald (Angela) Hockmeyer, and William (Susie) Chattin; treasured great-grandfather of Kaitlyn, Emma, Ethan, and Isla; beloved uncle and friend to many. He is preceded in death by his son James Glenn Hockmeyer, and siblings John Martin Hockmeyer, Halbert Roland Hockmeyer, Charles Leonard Hockmeyer, Mary Kathryne Merry, and Elizabeth Ann Love.
James was an assembler for McDonnell Douglas for many years before he retired. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
