James Dale Hemming of O'Fallon, MO, passed away Friday, April 24, 2026 at the age of 77. Beloved husband of 55 years to Marilyn K. Hemming; cherished son of the late Margie L. Snyder; devoted father of Steven (Amy) Hemming and the late Rebecca (Jim survives) Musgrave; loving grandfather of Alec Hemming; dear brother of Connie (Larry) Hemsath, Pat Feltz and Jeanne Deters. He is also survived by extended family and many dear friends.
Jim proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, carrying that sense of duty and commitment throughout his life. He worked for Boeing for 46 years; retiring in 2014. He was a devoted family man whose life was defined by his steady presence, quiet strength, and deep love for those closest to him. He shared a lifelong partnership with his wife, Marilyn, built on mutual respect, laughter, and unwavering support.
Jim will be remembered for his kindness, strong work ethic, and the pride he took in caring for his family. He found great joy in spending time with loved ones and cheering on his favorite teams, the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues.
Jim leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on through all who knew him. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
Memorials may be made in James's name to Muscular Dystrophy Association.
