Beloved husband of Elizabeth Hanley; cherished son of the late Vincent and Bernice Hanley; devoted father of Mary (Don) Williams, Kathy (Bob) Mueller, Susan (Mitch) Kalist, Lisa (Jeremy) Flagg, and Lynn (Patrick) Coleman; loving grandfather of Beth (Justin), Laura (Caleb), Christine, Zach (Katie), Matt (Kaitlyn), Shelby (Zachariah), Ethan (Rachel), Lauren, Henry, Emily, and Jonathan; great-grandfather of Marshall, Lincoln, Addison, and Baby Mueller; dear brother of Judy (Doug) Boyd; brother-in-law of Jane (Charles)Wright. Jim honorably served in the United States Army and was a lifelong parishioner of Immaculate Conception of Dardenne Prairie. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, RCIA core team, and the ICD Pro-Life Group, and was also an accomplished, licensed real estate and insurance agent. A devoted Cardinals fan and car enthusiast, Jim had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoying fishing, hunting, skeet shooting, and float trips. He faithfully supported his daughters at their sporting events and found great joy in road trips, having traveled to all 50 states—Colorado being his favorite. Above all, Jim cherished family gatherings; alongside his beloved "Elizabest," his grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of his life. Known for his warmth, he was a treasured friend to many and maintained numerous lifelong friendships. The annual Halloween bonfire parties that he and Betty hosted were a highlight to many.
Jim was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jim's name for masses (preferred); or a donation to Birthright.
