James H. Flebbe, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Diane Flebbe; cherished son of the late Harold and Bernice Flebbe. Devoted father of Cary (Heather) Flebbe and Brian (Angel) Flebbe; loving grandfather of 6; dear brother of Donald (Maryann) Flebbe; brother-in-law of Walter (Katherine) Szempruch and Patricia Whitlock; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
James served proudly in the United States Army, demonstrating his commitment and dedication to his country. For 18 years, he was a faithful member of Assumption Catholic Church. James had a deep love for the outdoors, often spending his free time surrounded by nature. He was an avid fisherman, finding peace and joy in the tranquility of the water. His friends and family knew him for his larger-than-life personality, which could light up any room and bring joy to those around him. More than anything, James treasured the moments spent with his loved ones, valuing family above all else. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and dedication, both to his country and his family. James was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in James's name to the National Emphysema Foundation.
