James Edler
August 8, 1942 — January 2, 2018
James Joseph Edler of O’Fallon, Missorui, on Tuesday January 2, 2018, at the age of 75. Beloved husband of 46 years to Olivia Edler; cherished son of the late Leo Bernard and Anna Rose Edler; devoted father of Matthew (Jamie Lynn Kopsie) Edler and Kate (Kyle) Koehly; loving grandfather of Braden Kopsie, Joseph Edler, and Augustus Koehly; dear brother of Thomas (Joyce) Edler and the late Robert L. Edler. James is also survived by his mother-in-law Elizabeth Carpenter and many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
James proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Wounded Warrior Project, the VFW Supporter Club, as well as Vietnam Veterans of America. James was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in James’ honor to the Wounded Warrior Project.
