James D. Rayfield

Rayfield, James D., of St. Charles, Missouri, called by his Heavenly Father on Friday, April 18, 2014 at the age of 82. Devoted husband of Betty Jean Rayfield (nee: Hunziker); beloved son of the late James Beacher and Joyce Rayfield; beloved father of Mark S. Rayfield, LaDonne Greenwalt, Janice Pitts, and Debra Harman; cherished grandfather of Jason Jewell, Sean "Curtis" Rayfield, John Pitts, Jena Pitts, and Jacob Pitts; treasured great-grandfather of Ashlee, Jesse, Aiden, Zander and Christopher; dear brother of Robert "David" Rayfield and Doris Beck; also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandson Michael Pallardy.
Don was a U.S. Naval Aviator, successful business owner, champion shooter, and collegiate shooting coach'¦but he would say, without hesitation, that his most satisfying accomplishments, and greatest joys in life were his loving family and friends, and the many hundreds of terrific young men and women whom he had the privilege of coaching.
