James A. Mullen

James Austin Mullen was born the son of Homer (Eld.) Austin Mullen and Bertha Lee Campbell Mullen on March 2, 1936 in Strawberry, AR and departed this life May 11, 2008 in St. Charles, MO at age 72 years, 2 months and 11 days. James (Jim/J.A.) was married on March 5, 1966 to Sarah Jarutha Grooms Mullen. Jim served on the US Army after graduation from high school and was employed by National Vendors for 43 years. He loved God and his family and spent most of his entire life supporting and caring for those he loved. Jim loved music and taught himself to play many instruments. He served many years as director of music in his church, and spent several hours a day at the piano playing his favorite songs and hymns. He is survived by his wife, Sarah, in St. Peters, MO; three sons, Dwight Austin (Karen) in O'Fallon, MO, Stephen Eli (Crystal) and Aaron Lloyd (April) in St. Charles, MO; three grandchildren, Jack Austin Mullen, Delaney Joann Mullen and Austin Timothy Mullen; two sisters, Aileen Calvary and Eileen Crafton, both in Batesville, AR.; and many other relatives and friends.
