Jacquelyn Ann Trout

Jacquelyn Ann Trout (nee Burghardi), of Florissant, MO, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the age of 87. Cherished daughter of the late Gerda and Vernon R. Burghardi; devoted mother of Von (Dona RisingEagle) Francis, Sal (Sonia) Francis, Anna (Stephen) Amrein, Lois (Edward) Porter and Susan (James) Green; loving grandmother of Eric (Rebekah) Francis, Alyssa Francis, Zachary (Merissa) Porter, Abigail (Jon) Gutierrez, Joel Porter, Darcy Porter, Joshua Green, Tyler Green, and Jacob Green; treasured great grandmother of Aiden Francis, Charlie Francis, and Jaxton Porter; dear sister of Kay Stokke and Stephen (Ruth) Burghardi. Jacquelyn was also preceded in death by her husband, Warren Trout and her first husband, Harry H. Francis.

Jacquelyn spent much of her career with BJC Hospitals and found true joy in working outdoors, especially in her garden. A devoted Lutheran, her faith was a guiding force throughout her life. She was also an avid animal lover who enjoyed reading and working on puzzles in her free time. Fiercely independent, Jacquelyn was raised on a ranch in North Dakota where she embraced her German heritage and took pride in the responsibilities she carried, skillfully managing the cattle and proving she could do anything the cowboys could. She was known for her remarkable gift-wrapping talents—so much so that everyone could instantly recognize a present wrapped by Jackie. Above all, she deeply loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Jacquelyn was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
