Jackson L. Burke, Jr., of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at the age of 76. He was the loving husband of Virginia (Ginger) L. Burke; beloved son of the late Jackson Sr. and Sally Burke; devoted father of David (Jennifer) Hillyard and Ryan (Ryan Vacca) Burke; proud granddad of Addison Hillyard, Graham Vacca, Emily Hillyard, Jackson Hillyard, and Foster Vacca; and brother of Mary Lee (Paul) Vivian.
Jack proudly served his country in the United States Army and then returned home to graduate from the University of Missouri. He had a successful career in sales for over forty years. He was a dedicated member of Living Lord Lutheran Church, where he grew in his faith and love for God. He enjoyed being an active community member of the church and especially valued his time as president of the church council.
In his spare time, he loved playing golf, a good poker game with friends, watching his grandkids playing sports and always showing up to support their activities. He was an avid Chiefs fan and made some great memories at Arrowhead Stadium with his family.
Jack had a wonderful sense of humor and a gift for making those around him laugh. Above all, Jack cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him tremendous joy. He loved trips to the beach, where he could relax and enjoy the ocean, and treasured the memories made with those closest to him. His humor, laughter, and love for his family will be remembered by all who knew him.
Jack will be deeply missed, but the laughter he shared and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jack's memory to Siteman Cancer Center.
