Jack Arnold Gorsuch Jr., of Saint Charles, Missouri, left us to embark on his next great adventure on Monday, June 15, 2026, at the age of 69. He was the beloved husband of Lynn Gorsuch; cherished son of the late Betty and Jack Gorsuch, Sr.; devoted father of Emily (Jon Lewis) Gorsuch and Trevor Gorsuch; and the dear brother of Judy (the late John) Bitzer. In addition to his immediate family, Jack leaves behind his extended family including the Duehrens, his deeply loved chosen family and his countless friends, along with his faithful golden retriever, Koufax.
Jack was a man of boundless energy, deep faith, and an extraordinary devotion to his community. A devout parishioner at St. Cletus Catholic Church, he found immense joy in the simple moments, like watching over the kids during playground and recess duty at the parish school. His leadership shone brightly through his years as Vice President and President of the parent-teacher association, and he was an unwavering advocate for educators, dedicating his time to running numerous parish and school auctions. Jack’s life was an incredible adventure filled with remarkable achievements. A gifted athlete, he played professional tennis, reaching an astounding ranking of fifth in the world in doubles, a legacy later honored by his induction into the St. Louis Tennis Hall of Fame. His love for sports extended far beyond the court; he was a passionate fan of golf, Cardinals baseball, and Blues hockey. As a coach, he mentored high-level baseball players, guiding many young men toward college scholarships and professional careers. He even got to experience the magic of meeting and befriending his childhood heroes while coordinating events for the Baseball Hall of Fame inductions. Yet, for all his grand adventures and brushstrokes with greatness, Jack always felt he lived his own version of "The Sandlot” cherishing a lifelong, tight-knit community alongside the Duehren family. Beyond the sports world, Jack was a proud champion of the arts and nature, holding vibrant memberships with the Missouri Botanical Gardens and The St. Louis Municipal Opera Theatre. But of all the titles he held, none mattered more to him than being a devoted husband and father. Spending quality time with his family was his greatest joy and proudest achievement. Jack loved exploring new horizons and embracing new adventures, and his legacy of warmth, generosity, and enthusiasm will be forever missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
