Isolina "Skip" Russo

Isolina “Skip” Russo (nee Romero), of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Giacomo “Jack” Russo; cherished daughter of the late Valentin Romero and Julia Iglesias; devoted mother of Steven (German Areas) Russo, John Russo, and Scott (Beth) Russo; loving grandmother of Giacomo Nicholas (Nicole) Russo, Dinaur Joseph Russo, Adam (Allison) Russo, Meredith (Nick) Vitale, and Sara (An'rae) Clair; great-grandmother of Giana Russo, Jack Russo, Jennifer Russo, Michael Vitale, Lilian Vitale, Margaret Vitale, Peyton Clair, Isaac Clair, and Sophia Clair. Isolina was preceded in death by her dear brother, Val Romero.

The life of Isolina Romero Russo was a lovely one. A very independent, spirited soul from Cuba who married Giacomo Russo and together were devoted to raising a family with love, adventure and joy. She had a deep dedication to learning and expanded herself into a professional career after the children were on their own. She lived life to the fullest. She was proud of her Cuban heritage and in 2008 at age 75 made a pilgrimage back to Havana, Cuba. She lived a colorful life indeed and mostly always on her own terms remained dedicated to the love of her family. She was loved and respected and will be greatly missed by all whose life she touched.
