Irwin G. Dierkes

Irwin George Dierkes, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Friday, December 30, 2022 at the age of 89. Loving husband of Mary F. Dierkes; Beloved son of the late George H. and Edith Dierkes; beloved father of David A. (Grace) Dierkes, Barb A. Dierkes, and Kathy M (Kevin) McGuire; cherished grandfather of Matthew (Hannah), Renee (Kevin), Colin, and Connor; treasured great-grandfather of Cadence, Keagan, Oliver, and Olivia. Irwin is also preceded in death by his son, Timothy M. Dierkes and sister, Carol Armstrong.

Irwin proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a 4^th Degree in the Knights of Columbus 2269 in O'Fallon, MO. Irwin worked for 37 years at Missouri Pacific Railroad before retiring. He loved spending his free time volunteering anywhere he could. Irwin and Mary spent 66 loving years married to one another. Nothing was more important to him than his family and his faith. He enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, fishing, and boating. Irwin was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Irwin's name to St. Vincent DePaul.
