Hurley Damron Perkins, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Rosemary Perkins; cherished son of the late Hurley Perkins, Sr and the late Leola Perkins; devoted father of Hurley (Barbara) Perkins, III, Steven Perkins, Rosemary Perkins, Daniel (Robin) Perkins, Elizabeth Moore, Mark (Karen) Perkins, Margaret (George Arnold) Bunton, Michael Perkins and the late Matthew Perkins; loving grandfather of Patricia, Jessica, Vanessa, Tiffany, Brittni, Karyn, Brandy, Ashley, Rachel, Alexus, Colleen, Savanna, Michael Jr., Faith, Rylee, Ellena and the late Robert; treasured great-grandfather of Ethan, Dillion, Zachary, Joseph, Gabriel, Ember, Kai, Roman, Demoni, Meilani, Jack, Lily and Jackson; great-great grandfather of Lorelei, to be here soon.
Hurley was a devoted husband, hardworking man, and a friend to many. He proudly served his community as a member of the Volunteer Fire Department and was an active member of the Meat Cutters Union, Local 88 and the International Union throughout his working years.
Hurley shared 66 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Rosemary. Together they built a lifetime of cherished memories, enjoying simple pleasures such as fishing, camping, spending time at Dogwood Lake, and taking long car rides where Hurley would share stories from years gone by.
He was known for his strong work ethic, his skill with tools, and his love of tinkering with projects. Whether fixing something around the house or helping someone solve a problem, Hurley was always willing to lend a hand. He gave thoughtful advice without judgment, offering guidance while respecting each person's own decisions.
Hurley had a wonderful sense of humor and a sarcastic wit that brought smiles to those around him. He enjoyed country western shows and treasured the time spent with family and friends. Though he was firm and well respected, he was also a true gentleman whose kindness, wisdom, and steady presence made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Hurley was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched. His legacy of love, hard work, laughter, and quiet strength will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Memorials may be made in Hurley's name to American Heart Association.
