Hulda’s early life in Willow Springs laid a strong foundation for her lifelong dedication to family and community. After graduating from Willow Springs High School, she embarked on a fulfilling career that saw her working as a secretary at Concordia Publishing House in St. Louis, where she met her beloved husband, Ralph B. Greb. Her most important role in her life was as a loving wife and mother to her family. Hulda’s commitment to her faith and community was evident in her roles as the organist at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church and a volunteer with Meals-on-Wheels in St. Charles County. She also contributed her time and skills at Bonfils Elementary School and DePaul Pharmacy in Bridgeton, Missouri.
A devoted wife and mother, Hulda cherished her family profoundly. She is survived by her son Greg, who faithfully continued to visit and care for her during her last years; son Glen and his wife Kim, and grandsons Larry and Glen Jr. and their families; and son Gerald, granddaughter Sarah, great grandchildren Ethan and Emmie, grandson Benjamin, and granddaughter Mary and great grandson Phoenix. She also leaves behind her nephews Bruce Harms, Ken Harms, Gary Harms and their families, and nieces Joy Archdekin, Patti Harms, Jan Morris and their families. Throughout her life, Hulda was deeply involved in numerous activities at the churches she attended. She was a firm believer in living out her faith through her actions. Her hobbies included sewing-often making Halloween costumes for her grandchildren-practicing her green-thumb skills, cooking & baking, playing the organ, and just helping out people.
Hulda’s legacy of love, kindness, and community service will live on through the countless lives she touched. She will be fondly remembered as a loving Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma, whose generous heart and dedication to her family and faith were unparalleled. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace, in glory with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and re-united with her loved ones who went before her.
