Hamill, Hugh of St. Charles, MO, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017, at the age of 83. Beloved husband of the late Virginia Hamill; cherished son of the late Hugh and Caroline Hamill; devoted father of Edith (Tom) Pischl, Kathleen (Roger) Dodson, Hugh (Beverly) Hamill III, and father-in-law of Jeff Hatfield; loving grandfather of Stephen, Dan (Melissa), Tyler (Kaley), Todd (Randi), Brock, Monica, Lindsay, Hugh, Katie, Kaley, and Clayton; treasured great-grandfather of Lucas, Calvin, Montgomery, and Carter; and dear brother of Elizabeth (Ramon) Sais. Hugh is preceded in death by his daughter Laura Hatfield.
Hugh was a lover of sports; Notre Dame Football and Basketball, and St. Louis Cardinals being two of his favorite teams to watch, and he enjoyed golfing and riding his bike. Most of all Hugh was a wonderful, loving, strong family man who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
