Howard Wayne Reed

Howard "Wayne" Reed, of Lake Saint Louis, MO, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Ann Reed; cherished son of the late Carleton Berghiem and Alice Brown; devoted father of Shelia (Greg) Eaker, Burton Richard, and the late Carlton Reed; loving grandfather of Jerimy, Kim, Crystal, Trent, Chad, and Cory; dear great grandfather to Dylan & Brianna, dear brother of Judy Murawski, Deanna Berghiem, Barb (Ray) Dean, and Joyce Potter. He was a dear uncle, relative and friend to many.

Howard, affectionately known as “Wayne,” was married to the love of his life, Margaret, for 64 wonderful years, and together they shared a love for travel. A proud and honorable U.S. Navy veteran, Wayne served his country for 20 years, including during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He had a passion for motorcycles, loved to BBQ, and truly cherished his family. Always grateful and generous, Wayne never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those in need. As a Navy Radioman, he continued his passion for radio as an avid CB and Amateur radio operator N0FTJ. Wayne was a dedicated member of the Florissant Elks Club, often volunteering his time to support their work. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
