Herbert L. Rigg
October 3, 1926 — January 2, 2019
Herbert L. Rigg Jr. of Maryland Heights, MO, passed away at the age of 92 on Wednesday, January 2, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Herbert Lee Rigg, Sr.; and his sister, Betty (Edgar) Martin.
Herbert is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Ilene Rigg; his children, Brenda (Tom) Compas and Larry (Michelle) Rigg; his grandchildren, Sherry Compas, Heather (Chad) Temple, Christy (Zach) Boyle, and Bri Rigg.
Herbert bravely served in the US Army during World War II and went on to work in the Post Office after the war. He was a devout member of Fee Fee Baptist Church in Bridgeton. Often you could find him woodworking or doing home improvement projects because he was a skilled handyman. Herbert also had a lifelong love of fishing. Above all, he loved to spend time with his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
