Helen Marie Zeilman

Helen Marie Zeilman (nee Wetherell), of Saint Charles, MO, (formerly of Fulton, MO), passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the age of 83. Beloved wife of 57 years to the late Anthony Zeilman; cherished daughter of the late Benjamin Robert and Helen Ruth Wetherell; devoted mother of Tonya (Chris) Walker and Marilyn (Shazad) Zeilman-John; loving grandmother of Anthony John, Jade John, Samuel Walker, and Destiny Walker; great grandmother to Adrienne Carey;  dear sister of Mary Lee (Bob) Clevenger and the late William "Bill" Wetherell; treasured by many other family and friends.

Helen worked as a clerk for the Callaway County Court for many years and was a beloved member of the American Legion Auxiliary. However, her most important role was being devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren. She cherished every moment with them and experienced great joy watching them in their sports, dance, and school activities. She loved a game of cards, dominoes, Bingo; or simply enjoying an ‘Old Fashioned’ with family or friends. She enjoyed cooking, especially her famous fried catfish and spaghetti sauce, and had a green thumb, often growing flowers and other plants.

In recent years, Helen had many new experiences, reminding us that her favorite was traveling to Jamaica. She was blessed to be surrounded by so many that loved her and held a special place in her heart, often referring to them as her children. Those that knew Helen saw a life of love, laughter, and resilience. She will be missed dearly.
