Helen Mae Parker, age 84 of St. Charles, MO died Thursday, January 3, 2008. Memorial service will be at The Gables Retirement Center in the Breeze Park Chapel. Food and Fellowship following the service. Burial will take place at a later date in Arlington, Texas at Moores Cemetery. Helen was born Aug. 10, 1923 in Lake City, Michigan, the daughter of Lloyd M. & Greta M. (Malone) Ardis. She is a graduate of Farris State Univ. with a business degree. On July 23, 1945, she married Donald Glen Parker in Cadillac, Michigan. He served as Lt. Commander in the Naval Aviation. She has moved to many states due to the war and Donald's business with B.F. Goodrich. She worked for the Michigan State Banking Dept. in Lansing, MI. Donald died Sept. 30, 1985 in Arlington, TX. She is a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Cottleville, MO. She loved to travel, dance and play golf & bridge. She is survived by three children, Patricia (James) Brown of St. Charles, Dennis Parker of Spokane, Washington and Brent (Kathy) Parker of Austin, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Donald Ardis and one sister, Anne Jayne Seeley both from MI. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and a brother, John Ardis. Memorials may be made to the charity of Stained Glass Fund of the Breeze Park Chapel, Arthritis Foundation, charity of your choice or Masses to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
