Helen Williams (nee: Booher), went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2014. She was born in Hastings, Iowa on January 10, 1927, the daughter of Orval and Maud Booher. She was married to the late Walter (Red) Williams for 50 years.
After graduating from Ritenour High School in 1944, Helen worked at Mazda Lamp Works and Wagner Electric. She was later secretary to the principal of Wellston High School, and worked part-time at Stone Drug Store. From 1981 to 1991, she was the guidance department secretary at Normandy High School
She was an active volunteer in the community, serving as president of the Mother's Club at Bel-Nor Grade School and as Sunday school director, teacher, and church treasurer. She was also an officer in the American Legion Auxiliary.
Helen was the beloved mother of 5 children: Joyce Dressel (Bill), Sandra Scott (Marvin), Dennis Williams (Deborah), Laura Roberts (Curtis) and Timothy Williams (Chris). She had 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She is survived by 2 brothers, Joe and Emmett Booher, and 2 sisters, Darlene Walker and Carol Clark. She is preceded in death by brothers John, Donald, Robert, and Herbert Booher, and sisters Maxine Kleb, and Ruth and Mary Booher, She is also a beloved mother-in-law, sister-in-law, cousin, aunt, and great-aunt.
