Helen Irene Wyland

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Helen was the beloved daughter of the late Frank and Clara Belle Smart; loving wife of the late Ariel Aaron Wyland; devoted mother of Gay (Franklin) Pyles, Debbie (Ken) Michaud, Thomas Wyland and Joi (Dale) Farley; cherished grandmother of 9 and great-grandmother of 16. Mrs. Wyland was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Helen was extremely proud for winning the 1975 contest where she coined the name for Frontier Park; a feat for which she was later honored by the St. Charles Historical Society.
