Hilgert, Helen Florence (nee Luebbert), of St. Charles, Missouri, entered into the Church Triumphant on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the age of 90.
Beloved wife of Oreon Granville Hilgert; devoted daughter of the late William Frederick and Dorothy Emma (nee Davison) Luebbert; loving mother and best friend to Karen Lynne (the late William J.) McKenna, David William (the late Linda) Hilgert, Donald Oreon (Karen) Hilgert, and Shirley (Rich) Hausladen; cherished grandmother of Katie Lynne McKenna, Willy J. McKenna IV, Julie (Jason) Skillman, John (Alexis) Hilgert, Amy (Chris) Fritz, Sarah (Henry) Pflugradt, Paul (Becky) Hilgert, Steve (Jeanne) Hilgert, Matthew Hilgert, Shari (Josh) Rogers, Mark Hilgert, Anna (Myles) Ball, Laura, Eric, and Andrew Hausladen; great-grandmother of 16 and great-great grandmother of 1.
Helen was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother throughout all her good years of life; her family was absolutely everything to her and she spent all her time and energy trying to make them happy. Helen was a life-long Lutheran and showed her Christianity by playing the church organ, teaching Sunday school, directing the children’s choir, and assisting in any way possible in her church. Helen’s hobbies included home-making, sewing clothes for her grandchildren, crocheting and vacationing at Disney theme parks.
