Hazel V. Walls

Hazel Virginia Walls (nee Merrill), of Wright City, MO, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Bill Burnett and George Walls; cherished daughter of the late Eugene and Kathryne Merrill; devoted mother of Jerry (Jeanette) Kelly, Kathryne (the late Jeff) Wilkerson, Bill Burnett, Christine Burnett and the late Daniel “Guy” (Virginia survives) Kelly; loving grandmother of Yvonne, Melissa, Sara, Heather, Christopher, Tyler, Wade, and Sean; treasured great-grandmother of sixteen; great-great grandmother of 2; dear sister of Emma Shramek, Mary (John) Vohsen and Patrick (Judy) Merrill; sister-in-law of Sherry Williams, Martha Merrill and Patsy Merrill.

Hazel worked for years at Emmaus Home in Marthasville until her retirement. She then volunteered at Agape Food Pantry in Warrenton. Hazel was a member of Sunrise Methodist Church in Wright City.

In her free time Hazel had many hobbies. She loved traveling to different countries and cruising. Hazel also enjoyed bowling and shopping. Hazel was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
