Harry M. Hirst

Harry M. “Bus” Hirst of St. Charles, Mo passed away peacefully in his sleep Tuesday June 17, 2025, at the age of 97. Loving husband of the late Winifred Hirst; beloved son of Harry David and Laura Hirst; devoted father of Robert Hirst, Richard Hirst and Ronald (Jennifer) Hirst; grandfather of the late Matthew Hirst, Michael Hirst and Rachel Handing Hirst (Dan); Step grandfather of Rachel and Lauren: loved great grandfather of River Handing, Elsie Handing and Evie Handing. Harry was preceded in death by his five sisters, Dolly, Harriette, Lorraine, Viola and Laura.

Harry proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II Bus was an accomplished baseball player and an avid golfer. He enjoyed many happy times with his friends at Norwood.

Known for his warm personality and easy-going nature, Bus was well liked by all who knew him. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed
