Harold “Hal” Herweck, Jr. of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Nancy Herweck; cherished son of the late LaVerne and Harold Virgil Herweck, Sr. Devoted father of Wendy (Andy) Helton and Trey (Allison) Herweck; loving grandfather “papa” of Ashlyn, Taylor, and Luke Helton, Claira, Cooper, Knox, and Toula Herweck; dear brother of Sue Smith and Kirk (Wendy) Herweck.
Hal loved so many people and so much of his life was given to serving Jesus by loving people as a youth minister at Overland Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of St. Charles, then as a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and “The Mint Guy” at Refuge Church of St. Charles.
Even after a transition from ministry to sales, Hal continued to serve people at Digital Computer Corp and Pheonix Textiles until his retirement. He is remarkably remembered and often loved by almost everyone he came in contact with…unless it was a church softball umpire.
We grieve deeply at the loss of this wonderful man from this earth, but we rejoice that he sits at the side of his glorious Savior whom he served so joyfully throughout his life. He is healed, he is whole, he is home.
Memorials may be made in Hal 's name to Missouri Baptist Children's' Home.
