Harlan L. Blase

Blase, Harlan Leo, of Saint Charles, MO, died on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at the age of 80. Loving husband of the late Carol J. Blase; beloved son of the late Reinhard and Clara Blase; devoted father of Kevin Lee (Renay) Blase, Jeffrey H. Blase, and Karen (Michael) Papka; cherished grandfather of Chandanais (Sean) Smoot, Kevin L. (Colleen) Blase, II, Collin M. Papka, Jessica L. Papka, Lindsey C. Papka, Carter J. Blase, and Sydney C. Blase; treasured great-grandfather of Regan H. Blase, Payton M. Blase, Tyler I. Smoot, and Rowan K. Blase; and dear brother of Raymond R. (Loraine) Blase. He is also survived by nephew, Stephen (Connie) Blase, many great nieces and nephews, and a great-great niece and a nephew. He is preceded in death by his son Michael Scott Blase and sister, Ruth Ann Blase.

Harlan was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and of the Mechanicsville Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed camping, fishing, deer hunting, riding ATVs, and spending time at the North 40. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially with his children and grandchildren.
