Gregory "Greg" A. Therrien Jr.

Gregory Therrien Jr., 70, of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026. Born on February 27, 1956, in Saint Louis, Missouri, Greg lived a life filled with passion, dedication, and love for his family, friends, and faith.

Greg was born in Saint Louis, but his family moved to Saint Charles when Greg was about 13 years old. He graduated from Francis Howell High School in 1974 and shortly thereafter embarked on a journey that would shape his character and values — serving as a proud Marine for four years. His time in the Marine Corps left an indelible mark on him, instilling discipline and pride that stayed with him throughout his life.

After his military service, Greg began a long and fulfilling career at McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing). Initially working as a security guard, he later transitioned to serving as a driver for C-level executives during the latter part of his career. His professionalism and commitment were evident in every role he undertook.

Greg’s personal life was enriched when he met Karen, his soulmate and partner in life. Their shared love for Jesus Christ brought them together at church, where they discovered a profound connection rooted in faith. Together, they built a life filled with love and devotion to one another. Though Greg did not have children of his own, he embraced Karen’s family wholeheartedly. He cherished his stepson Matt Smith (Brittney) and step-granddaughter Gaige Smith, along with many nieces and nephews who brought joy to his life.

Greg’s passions extended far beyond his career and family. He was an accomplished golfer who participated annually in the Boeing Tournament, often finishing near the top. One year, he came tantalizingly close to victory with a second-place finish—a testament to his skill and competitive spirit. Another of Greg’s great loves was IndyCar racing. For many years, he joined family members on trips to the Indianapolis 500 Race, a cherished tradition passed down from his father that created countless fond memories.

An exceptional cook, Greg delighted in preparing traditional dishes inspired by recipes handed down from his maternal grandmother. His culinary talents were legendary among those who knew him. Whether it was on the golf course, at the racetrack, or in the kitchen, Greg’s zest for life was evident in all he did.

In his later years, Greg’s faith deepened profoundly. While he had always maintained a love for the Lord, the last decade of his life saw him become a devoted scholar of the Bible. He took every opportunity to share the love of Jesus Christ with others and lived as a good and faithful servant.

Greg is survived by his beloved wife Karen Therrien; stepson Matt Smith (Brittany); step-granddaughter Gaige Smith; siblings Timothy J. Therrien (Vicki), Jeff Therrien (Sandy), Todd Therrien (Kindra), Lisa Blanzy (Paul), and Brad Therrien (Sherry); as well as numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart. He was predeceased by his parents Gregory Therrien Sr. and Elizabeth Therrien.

Greg will be remembered as a force of nature—loud, fun-loving, and deeply cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His vibrant presence lit up every room he entered, leaving an enduring impression on all whose lives he touched.
