Grace Louise (nee Reynolds) Edmundson was born in Ellsinore, MO, to Emory Lee and Ada Olivia (nee Roark) Reynolds on March 22, 1925 and departed on January 11, 2019 at the age of 93.
She was survived by her two daughters; Carol Young of St. Charles and Cathy (Tom) Kluesner of Dutzow.
Five grandchildren; Michael Young, Mark (Tracy) Young, both of St. Charles, Kelly (Erin) Wooldridge of O’Fallon, Tim (Sara) Kluesner of Jackson, MO, and Tina Kluesner of Dutzow.
Nine great-grandchildren; Jamie (Kevin) Copeland, Michael J. Young, Jacob Young, Alyssa Young, Justin Sattley, Madison Wooldridge, Brendan Wooldridge, Hayden Wooldridge, Noah Kluesner, and Maddox Kluesner.
Two great-great-grandchildren; Aidan and Leah Copeland.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents; Emory Lee and Ada Olivia (Roark) Reynolds; her husband, Leon O. Edmundson; her brothers; Emory L. Reynolds Jr., Gene Furney Reynolds, and Charles Glenn Reynolds; and her son-in-law John C. Young.
Grace was loved by all and always had a smile on her face. She was a mother figure to many growing up, especially Ruth (McGee) Self and Karen (Zimmerman) Beck.
Grace graduated from Ellisnore High School in 1943. Following graduation, Grace worked in a food market in Poplar Bluff. She met and married Leon Edmundson of Malden, MO. Leon had been in CCC camp with Louise’s brother. She moved to California while her husband was stationed in the military service. At the end of the war, they returned to St. Louis.
Grace was a Jehovah’s Witness, a very faithful woman, who tried to live her life to please God.
She loved working in her flowers, fishing, sewing, rescuing cats, and, most of all, spending time with her family.
