Gordon Wayne Cherry, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Shirley (nee Hemsath) Cherry; cherished son of the late Victor and Lucille Cherry; devoted father of Debbie Kiker and Kim (Rob) Skaggs; loving grandfather of Kim (Donnie) Thomason, Stephen Kiker, and Jacob Skaggs; great-grandfather of Kris Stelzer, Kate Stelzer, and Chloe Kiker; dear brother of Vickie Lenkiewicz; uncle to many nieces and nephews. Gordon is preceded in death by his two great-grandchildren, Jude and Jonas Stelzer.

Gordon shared 62 and a half wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Shirley. Together, they enjoyed traveling and visiting National Parks. Gordon was an avid reader, a devoted University of Kentucky basketball fan, and a quiet man with a wonderful sense of humor. Above all, he was a loving father who cherished his family. Gordon was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life in Gordon's honor will be held later this year.
