Glennon John Gillette

October 12, 1933 — November 2, 2022

Troy, Missouri

Glennon John Gillette, of Troy, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at the age of 89. Beloved companion of Betty Martin and dear husband of the late Mary Gillette; devoted son of the late Clifford S. and Louise A. Gillette; loving father of Ronnie (Debbie) Gillette and Brenda (Randy) Slimmer; cherished grandfather of Jason (Debra) Gillette, Travis Gillette, Casey (Jamie) Gillette, Matthew Slimmer and Alexandra (Hector Hernandez) Slimmer; treasured great-grandfather of Nikki, Katie, Damon, Cobley, Gavin, Jaycee, Avery, and Camilla; precious great-great-grandfather of Zoe, Lily, Jolynn, Jayden, Tinslee; dear brother of Micky Gillette, Grace Morgan, Clifford Gillette, Pat Sjurseth, Virginia Morgan, Margie Walker, Don Gillette, and Jerry Gillette; and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Anne Ochs and Audrey Hemsath, and his brother, Bill Gillette.

Glenn was the hardest working man you’d ever meet. As a farmer, he worked from the time the rooster crowed until the sun went down. He was determined in anything he did and despite any hardship he came up against, he found a way to overcome it. Family was most important to him; he cherished the time they spent together. He was a good man, many friends and always someone you could count on. He loved to dance at the Lincoln County Jam Sessions each week and enjoyed those tunes of classic country music.

Glen was a friend to all and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Memorials may be made in Glenn's name to the Parkinson’s Foundation.

Baue Funeral Homes is currently following CDC recommendations regarding mask and social distancing policies.
